How it started

Carpentry Was Never Just a Job for Jake

Jake's father was a carpenter, and growing up, they built things together. That's where it started, not a career choice made later in life, something he'd already been doing with his dad before he ever picked up a trade properly.

He went through his apprenticeship, got qualified, and spent a couple of years working as a qualified carpenter under his boss, learning the trade properly before he ever thought about running his own jobs.

But Jake always had one thing in mind: doing this for himself, and doing it his way. Not just taking on work to fill a schedule, building things he was genuinely proud to put his name on. That's what Level A Builders actually is, carpentry that's still personal, even after hundreds of clients.

What "his way" actually looks like

The Business Was Built Around One Idea: Do It Properly, or Don't Do It

"Doing it his way" isn't just a nice line, it's the reason Level A Builders runs the way it does. Jake checks what he can before he ever writes a quote, subfloor, framing, whatever's relevant to the job, so the price you're given is built on what's actually there.

If something's found once the work starts, you're told properly. What it is, what it means, what it costs, in writing, before anything proceeds. Not because a policy says so, because that's genuinely how Jake thinks a job should be run.

And you deal with him. Not a salesperson, not a rotating project manager. From the first site visit to the last day on the job, it's the same person who understands what's actually happening with your renovation.
